We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer with deep expertise in Figma. This role requires a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to design high-quality presentations, landing pages, and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the customer experience. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Figma, with a strong portfolio showcasing experience in designing product presentations, product landing pages, and UI/UX interfaces.
This position will work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure our visual assets align with business goals and user needs.
Responsibilities
User Experience & Interface Design:
- Design and optimize user interfaces for web and mobile applications used in forensic genomic data analysis.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that reflect the needs of law enforcement personnel and forensic scientists.
- Create and maintain design guidelines to ensure a consistent look and feel across all applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI engineers, bioinformaticians, forensic experts) to understand user needs and translate them into intuitive designs.
User Research & Testing:
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gain insights into user behaviors and pain points.
- Implement user feedback to improve workflows, navigation, and overall user experience.
- Work with forensic professionals and law enforcement to ensure the applications are intuitive and meet case-specific needs.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with forensic experts and bioinformaticians to understand technical requirements and translate complex genomic data into user-friendly visuals.
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and contribute to product development discussions.
Visual Design:
- Develop high-fidelity designs and ensure alignment with the client’s branding and visual standards.
- Enhance data visualizations and reports to make genomic insights more comprehensible and actionable for non-technical users.
Ethical & Legal Considerations:
- Ensure that the design of all applications adheres to legal and ethical guidelines, particularly concerning forensic applications.
- Maintain sensitivity to privacy, bias, and inclusivity in design, ensuring that interfaces meet regulatory standards for forensic and law enforcement use.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma (including prototyping, design systems, and collaboration tools).
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in product presentations, product landing pages, and UI/UX design.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, UI/UX Designer, or Visual Designer in a tech, AI, or genomics-related industry.
- Strong understanding of branding, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in genomics, AI, or health tech industries.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Understanding of front-end development principles to effectively collaborate with developers.
- Multilingual skills (English, Serbian, Russian) are a plus.
