Job description

Our client is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of data-driven software products in the renewable energy sector, focusing on wind and solar projects. You will translate complex business challenges into actionable product plans and ensure high-quality delivery.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, business, and operations, to drive product strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features in close alignment with the delivery lead and development team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business and project development, engineering and design, as well as operations, to define product requirements and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure the product meets their expectations.
  • Present product updates, roadmaps, and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Use data-driven insights to measure product performance, identify issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic input that influences product strategy based on stakeholder feedback, user insights, and industry developments, especially in the context of wind and solar projects.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of product management experience, preferably in the wind energy or broader renewable energy / energy & utilities sector.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy systems (wind and solar) and the renewable project development process, with hands-on experience in wind energy (project development, asset management, grid connection, performance monitoring, etc.) considered a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of managing and launching successful web applications.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable product plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Practical experience working with digital tools or platforms used in wind project development, asset management, SCADA/monitoring or performance optimisation is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in energy, utilities, renewables or industrial/engineering environments (e.g. wind farm development, grid, asset management, project development).
  • Hands-on work with data & analytics (dashboards, KPIs, BI tools, product analytics).
  • Experience collaborating with data science / ML / AI teams or on data-driven products.
  • Familiarity with product discovery practices (user interviews, prototypes, experiments).
  • Experience working in a large international or matrix organisation with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of an additional European language (e.g. German or French).
