Senior Data Analyst / BI Specialist

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst / BI Specialist to join a growing Data & Analytics team in Belgrade. In this role, you will transform complex data into meaningful insights, support data-driven decision-making, and develop impactful reports and dashboards for business stakeholders.

You will work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to understand business needs, analyze data, and deliver reliable and user-friendly BI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, understand, and translate business requirements into effective data models and visualizations in Power BI.
• Dashboard Development: Design and develop insightful and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards that communicate key metrics clearly.
• Data Modelling: Build and maintain data models, relationships, and measures in Power BI using DAX and best practices.
• Team Collaboration: Work together with business analysts teams and business stakeholders, ensuring reports meet business needs and objectives, deliveringactionable insights.
• Data Quality & Validation: Ensure accuracy and reliability of data by validating against source systems and proactively identifying data issues.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive documentation for data models, reports, and processes to support knowledge sharing and future development.
• Continuous Improvement: Support data governance, performance optimization, and contribute to the overall improvement of data practices within the organization.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a significant focus Power Bi.
• Power BI Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models. Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and report design best practices.
• Data Analysis: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into meaningful insights.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, SQL Server)
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g., Dataflows, ADF)
• Business Understanding: Ability to understand business processes and requirements, and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have Qualifications (not Required):

• Familiarity with database systems (SQL, PostgreSQL, Google Firebase, BigQuery, etc.).
• Exposure to finance and operations data (e.g., Dynamics 365 F&O) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with agile practices and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Additional languages, particularly French, are a plus.
• Project Management Tools: Knowledge of project management tools (JIRA) and collaboration platforms (Confluence).
