Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Job description
In a world where synthetic content and digital fraud are exploding, someone needs to stand guard at the gates of digital identity. Our client is building the invisible infrastructure that keeps the digital world trustworthy—and they need a backend architect who can think like both a builder and a defender.
This isn’t just another CRUD API job. You’ll be designing systems that process millions of identity verifications, building defenses against sophisticated fraud attempts, and creating the backbone for AI-powered security solutions that protect real people’s digital lives.
About Our Client
Our client is a global technology company at the forefront of AI-driven identity security. They’ve built a reputation for running cutting-edge machine learning directly on devices, creating seamless user experiences while maintaining fortress-level security. With operations spanning multiple continents and processing hundreds of millions of identity documents annually across 70+ countries, they’re solving identity verification at true global scale.
Their technology powers critical verification workflows for major enterprises, and their expertise in computer vision and fraud detection makes them a trusted partner in high-stakes security environments.
Responsibilities
Build the Foundation of Digital Trust You’ll architect and optimize high-performance backend services that power real-time biometric verification workflows. Think distributed systems processing massive volumes of sensitive data with zero tolerance for downtime.
Craft Developer-First APIs Design and build APIs that development teams actually want to use. You’ll create the integration layer that connects frontend applications, mobile SDKs, and third-party services seamlessly.
Think Like an Attacker, Build Like a Defender Adopt an adversarial mindset to identify vulnerabilities before bad actors do. You’ll help develop ML-powered defenses against increasingly sophisticated fraud attempts and adversarial attacks.
Own the Full Lifecycle From initial architecture decisions to production monitoring, you’ll have genuine ownership over the systems you build. This means real impact, real responsibility, and real opportunities to shape the product direction.
Collaborate Across Disciplines Work directly with ML researchers, security experts, DevOps engineers, and product teams. You’ll be the bridge between cutting-edge research and production-ready systems.
What Success Looks Like
You thrive when building production systems that millions of users depend on. You understand that great backend engineering isn’t just about making things work—it’s about making them work reliably, securely, and at scale.
